Is membership in the eyecloud panel free?

Yes, we will never charge you any money to be a member of the eyecloud panel.

How do I get selected to participate in online studies?

After you fill out the panel survey sign up form, we will match your profile with our clients' requirements and, if a study that matches your profile is available, we will contact you by e-mail.

What is a screener?

Sometimes our clients will look for respondents with certain characteristics (i.e., leisure travelers, online purchasers, etc.) We will ask you set of questions (known in the industry as a screener) to determine if you qualify to participate in a survey. We will contact you by email if you meet the screening criteria and we will then provide a link to the main survey. We do not offer payment for participation in a screener.

Is my personal information private? Who has access to my personal information?

Your personal information is kept in a secure internal database and only select members of our staff have access to it. We will never compromise your privacy and your information will never be sold or used for marketing purposes.

Who will see my survey answers and how will they be used?

Only our staff can see your survey answers and once your answers are submitted, your personal information (email address, mailing address) is removed from the answer database and stored in our payment database. Other personal information (age, gender, income, etc.) will only be reported in aggregate with other respondents and will remain confidential. We will NEVER submit your personal information to our clients under ANY circumstances.

How can I update my personal information?

If you need to update the information you submitted when you signed up to be part of the eyecloud panel, please send an email to panel (at) eyecloud.com with the information you would like to update. Please include both your old and new information. We will send you a confirmation email when your information has been updated. It is important to keep your information up to date because we use this to invite you to participate in studies.

What if I want to no longer be a member of the online panel?

If you no longer wish to be contacted for online studies, please send an email to panel (at) eyecloud.com and enter "REMOVE FROM PANEL" as the subject of your email. Please make sure you let us know the email address with which you signed up to be a member of the panel so we can remove the correct information.

How much will I get paid? How do I get paid? When should I expect my payment?

Payment for participating in online surveys can be either in the form of a sweepstakes or a set amount for each survey, depending on our clients. For example, for some surveys your name will be entered in a sweepstakes for $10 – $500 and, for other surveys, you will be paid a set amount between $1 – $10. Compensation for focus groups can range from $10-$100, depending on length and topic. We will let you know in advance how much you will get paid. We mail out checks by regular mail within two weeks of completing the surveys. It is important that you fill in your complete address at the end of each survey.

How often will I be asked to participate in a survey?

On average, we may contact you 2 – 12 times a year to participate in a study.

How will I be notified to participate in an online survey?

We will notify you by email when a study that matches your profile becomes available. It is important to keep your email address up to date.

How much time will I spend taking a survey?

A typical survey takes anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes to complete, depending on your Internet connection speed and the complexity of the survey.

I do not live in the United States? Can I still be a member of the eyecloud panel?

No. At this time we only accept panel members who live in the United States..

Do I need any special software to participate in surveys?

An Internet browser and an Internet connection are the only things you need to participate in a survey.

My friend/family member is interested in signing up to become a member of the eyecloud online panel. What should I do?

If you have a friend who is interested in becoming a member of the eyecloud panel, please direct them to our signup form and have them fill in all the required information. We encourage you to ask your friends and family members to sign up so they, too, can share the rewards of being a member.
